Useful details to include
Include your macOS and app versions, the step you were taking and the exact error message. For recording problems, include your audio-interface model and selected input. Remove private information from screenshots and logs. Do not send passwords, API keys or complete music recordings.
Common questions
How do I record a cassette?
Connect the deck to a suitable audio input, select the input device in the app and allow audio input in macOS System Settings. You can open existing recordings directly.
Why is a song not recognized?
Check your internet connection and listen to the recording. Not every recording is available in the catalog. You can name unknown sections and keep them as your own audio.
Do I need Apple Music?
Playing Apple Music catalog tracks requires an active subscription. You can also import only your own tape recordings through the Music app.
Where are the permissions?
Check System Settings → Privacy & Security for audio input, Media & Apple Music and Automation permissions. The app also needs access to the files you select.
