Trips and storage
Drivers Logbook stores trips, locations and routes, start and destination addresses, times, mileage, vehicle assignments, trip purposes and local diagnostic events on your iPhone. The app does not offer iCloud synchronization or require a Verilob account. Device backups and storage you choose for exports may use cloud services depending on your settings.
Permissions and Apple services
Location and motion are used to detect and record trips, including in the background. Bluetooth can optionally identify vehicles. With calendar permission, appointment titles can be suggested as trip purposes. Maps and converting coordinates to addresses use Apple MapKit and geocoding; requests may be sent to Apple. Apple processes data under its own terms. Manage permissions in iPhone Settings. Without the relevant permissions, related features may be limited.
Export, import and support
PDF and CSV files contain trip details. You choose recipients and services when sharing. Imported old logbooks are processed locally and also contain sensitive location data. The app includes no Verilob advertising or analytics SDKs. If you email us, we process your address, message and attachments to handle your request. Send only the data needed for that purpose.
This website
These Drivers Logbook pages load images and styles locally and use no analytics, tracking cookies or browser storage. Visiting sends your IP address, requested URL and connection/browser information to our hosting infrastructure for delivery and security. The website is hosted on a Hetzner server. Server and security logs are separate from local app data.
Purposes, legal bases and recipients
Where Verilob processes personal data, the purpose is providing the requested service or pre-contractual support (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), answering other enquiries and securing website operation (Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests), or meeting legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Where consent is required, Article 6(1)(a) applies and consent may be withdrawn for the future. Hosting and email providers may process data for us. Apple services and export services you choose apply their own privacy terms, including information about international transfers.
Retention and deletion
Manage your trips within the app. Exported files, imported original files and backups must be managed and, where needed, deleted separately. We retain support correspondence as long as needed to resolve and document the request or meet legal obligations. Website logs are retained for operation and security and removed when no longer needed. Contact us for details of the current retention configuration.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Contact info@verilob.com. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA). Verilob does not use the described data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
